A new fashion trend is hitting social media and Instagram models are paying a lot to jump on the flex. Fashion ad style videos are the latest “It” thing in Hollywood and it looks like others are getting in on it. The selfie era could well be coming to an end as a new trend emerges among influencer and models. A videographer predicting the death of classic images says he’s been inundated with requests to produce the new type of content. Top videographer M.CHERiE, formerly known as Swagga BOB, believes having your own fashion ad is the latest thing in Hollywood. Abigail Ratchford, who has over 9 million Instagram followers, is leading the move to video.
She has collaborated with M.CHERiE to produce several clips. The artist, from LA, US, has worked with top names including Abigail and Sports Illustrated model Yuliya Lasmovich. He currently has nearly 250,000 followers on Instagram where he posts collaborations with models and influencers with the trend. In one clip, Abigail poses among Louis Vuitton bags, dripping in gold jewellery in a nod to her luxury lifestyle.
Model Yuliya Lasmovich, who has also modelled for GQ, Maxim and Playboy, also collaborated with M.CHERiE on a video advert. In the clip, Yuliya is wearing bright clothes and sunglasses with a towel wrapped around her head as she relaxes poolside. She is filmed at multiple angles as she shows off her modelling expertise, smiling and posing for the camera. For M.CHERiE, his reputation means he can afford to be selective with who he works with, as he added: “My DMs are entertaining!”
